If we are planing on playing this baseball season and we have to draft 70 rds worth of players, as with a 20 man football, 20 man hoops and 30 man basebal roster, that equates to 70 rds, not to mention the 10 rd MiLB draft as well, we need to get moving much faster than less than one rd in 48 hours . There is no way in hell we will get this done prior to Opening Day for MLB if we do not figure out a better way to do this. I really wish we would have broken the drafts up and made sure we got baseball done now then worked on the others while knowing we would be able to start the baseball season at the very least. I sure hope things work out and speed up , but I am very worried thus far as these should be the easy picks Jeff

The league voted on this clock. In a few rounds we will visit the issue and see if there is interest in speeding up the draft. It will become easier when a few picks have been made. I think it will speed up once the weekend finishes, at least that has been my general experience. Now with that said however, I totally agree with San Diego..we need to be moving about twice as fast as we are. One way I recommend to speed things up is to send a list to someone if your pick is coming up soon and you don't think you will be around for awhile. We need to average over 2 rounds a day and over the last 2 days we have not even finished 1 round, but there is still time to make that up.

This is a new format for most people. It is hardest to pick early on when players from three sports are involved.

I know I posted it somewhere else, but is there no option on these boards that allow a user to get emails when something is posted? I have my email on all day and it would be much easier to follow the draft if I can get an email every time there is a post in the "Draft" thread. I know we are emailing the next person up (for the most part), but getting notifications seems like a simple action that all other boards have.

Maybe we can setup a time that everyone can be on for a few hours one night and try to bang out a few rounds?

My issue with a shorter clock is I dont have access at work so I can only check in the morning and the evening
But I agree, I think we should have broke the draft up into the respective sports

We could all meet at a given time. That is a good idea.

No access at work. That is why I will generally send a list to someone if my pick is approaching. When I first started doing these I really insisted on 12 hours but, I have found that as low as 6 is not really difficult. I totally disagree about splitting up the sports. Combining them all is what makes this league extremely special and is an extremely fun way to draft.

Is there a weeknight maybe early next week everyone can get on for a few hours and put a dent in this thing?

We should have probably drafted each sport individually

I'm fine with just drafting baseball starting in the 6th round and then once everyone fills their baseball roster switch to drafting both NBA and NFL together. This was we can start our baseball season without a problem. The best thing is to speed up the draft and continue what we are doing but we seem to hit road blocks each round.

we have, what, 65 or so rounds left? 7 weeks until opening day. We'd have to do 9+ rounds per week to finish it out and we've really struggled to get close to 5 in our one week so far.
I guess if we halve the time like planned it can be done, but I wonder how many skipped picks we're going to see.

PATHETIC, this is flat out ridiculous. I am more or less on the verge of cashing this league in as it is growing more and more hopeless. All day and nothing , 15 hours and counting ( more or less ) with ZERO picks. Way to pick up the pace boys!!! Amazing huh??

Please don't quit SD...though I agree this is frustrating. I would rather push through because I love the format and would hate to see the league go. While I would prefer not to I would be willing to do some love drafting, however since I live in Japan American week nights are out...because that is my next days work time. Therfore I can only live draft on American friday and saturday nights. I am totally against drafting only 1 sport now....I would rather shorten the baseball season than do that...I sure hope it doesn't come to that though.
